The back of her head tingled slightly as she headed for the common room, hoping for some breakfast. Aveline had resumed her orb form, flitting hither and thither about her wizard, growing steadily more concerned as Audra acquired a dreamy smile on her face. “Samuel said we were supposed to stay put!” the yellow orb insisted, but Audra just kept walking, pushing open the door and entering the common area to find a buzzing cloud of insects.
Freshly kissed, Audra walked into their midst, their droning chorus sounding sweet to her infected ears. The pink cloud obscured her vision as she waded into the swarm, kissing back any that got into her path and giggling. Aveline stayed low and small, dodging any that spotted her and sticking close to her wizard. “We should gooo” the spirit said softly, though her attention was mostly on avoiding the red lips.
Unable to see where she was going, Audra tripped over something on the floor, stubbing her foot. “Ow!” she complained, leaning down to rub her bare foot and check that her pedicure hadn’t been damaged, until she noticed the most beautiful face she had ever seen looking up at her.
“Hi,” she breathed as she stared into luminous blue eyes the color of the ocean. “Usually I don’t enjoy the water… but I’d love to get lost in that sea.” The eyes widened with surprise but looked pleased, though the pretty girl pulled back as Audra straightened. Immediately she moved closer again and so did the other.
Audra chuckled, sliding a hand behind the girl’s head and tugging her close. “Much more comfortable this way,” the light wizard purred. “But I think we’d both be more comfortable on a couch.” Her smile was returned and they moved over into an aptly named loveseat. Aveline’s complaints were entirely ignored, as was the cloud still buzzing around, though other apprentices and masters armed with nets and other implements were making some progress on diminishing the swarm.
“Your lips.. they look kind of dry…” Audra licked hers, grinning when the other did. The girl looked as excited as Audra, biting her lower lip as well. “Maybe I should kiss them just to check….” They leaned in at the same time, but then Audra’s eyes were closed and she was kissing the firm, cool lips, though they remained stubbornly shut when she licked them. Still, they warmed as she nuzzled, chuckling softly and murmuring compliments.
Elias paused in his efforts to capture and drive the bugs out of the kitchen area to watch the redhead. She was certainly an odd one, curled up on a couch in the middle of a bad swarm, cooing to the back of a frying pan and kissing it. "Ah, Audra. Up to your usual business I see," Elias said as he passed with a net. “Are you going to help with these bugs or what? How much kissing practice does one person need?” The guardian shook his head and got back to work. Some people just had no work ethic.
