Patron Information

[Base Element] Air

[First Spirit]
Name: Cedar
Element: Air
Cedar is best described as a flying rat. Not a pigeon, but a literal rat with wings. Cedar focuses primarily on Willow’s projectiles, guiding them in a slipstream to hit targets with deadly accuracy and more force than physics can explain.

[Second Spirit]
Name: Hemlock
Element: Fire
Hemlock, amused at the form Cedar had taken, shaped itself as a flying squirrel on Cedar’s design, where flight seems a clumsy, slow thing, even if it isn’t. Arrows tipped with flame are Hemlock’s primary contribution.

[Third Spirit]
Name: Fir
Element: Light
Fir built further on the theme by taking the shape of a winged ferret, by far the most ridiculous-looking of Willow’s spirits. Fir specializes in adding what amounts to laser targeting to Willow’s bow.

[Fourth Spirit]
Name: Larch
Element: Earth
Larch, shaped like a flying rabbit, adds arrows that create ‘smokescreens’ where they strike, either causing a puff of sand, dirt, or leaves depending on the environment.

[Fifth Spirit]
Name: Cypress
Element: Water
The laziest of Willow’s spirits, the winged mouse-shaped Cypress generally doesn’t do much, though at best, Cypress creates patches of black ice where Willow’s arrows strike.

Personal Information

Personality:
Willow often goes unnoticed and likes it that way. Preferring to keep to the shadows, Willow gravitated to ranged combat and settled on a longbow for a primary weapon. They rarely leave the house unless Diya is sallying forth or the house is located in wilderness strong with wind spirits. They are intense about practicing and keeping sharp at archery, preferring not to rely solely on the magic of patrons to fight. Willow is a disciplined and determined person who never abandons an accepted task.

History:
Willow was raised around the family, growing up with a knowledge of spirits and magic and the struggle in which their family was on the front lines. Willow was 6 before they finally caught on that their playmate Diya was actually her great aunt and more than a century older than them. It was then Willow started calling Diya and her twin a ‘trap’ and regarding them with suspicion. Though Willow had been taught that wizards with pacts do not age, this was the first time the reality of it sank in. Willow brooded on it muchly as they grew older and showed no aptitude for wizardry and Diya and Faven stayed the same. Though Willow knew that they were far older and stronger, the young Redstone still worried about them, taking to having frequent tea parties and hovering about. Willow finally decided to become a guardian at age 12, secretly determined to protect their once-playmate. Despite the more modern weapons that were around, they favored a bow and arrow, secretly feeling that it fit better with an ancient wizarding family. At 15 Willow had two spirits and finally worked up the nerve to ask Diya if she would accept them as her guardian. Though initially bemused at the thought of the youngster fighting to defend her, she at last agreed, though Willow had to promise to have tea parties with her whenever she wanted.

Misc Info:
-Willow prefers not to identify as either gender, which many find odd given that they paired with the overtly feminine Diya. Willow merely shrugs.
-Overall Willow likes the modern day a lot better than the one they were born in.

Roleplay Paragraph Sample:
Willow settled in, the small flock of flying rodents landing on the arms and back of the couch and scurrying about. They rarely listened when it wasn't time to work, so Willow didn't bother trying to call them to order. They leaned back, closing eyes as the days exertions made themselves known in a series of sharp complaints. Shoulders were the loudest, followed by back, though the rest of their arms weren't exactly pleased with the marathon shooting session. On the plus, accuracy had been maintained and the center of the target had been all but obliterated.

Cedar picked a perch at last, sitting directly on Willow's forehead. The guardian sighed, but it wasn't as though the patron's behavior was anything new. The skinny, bony tail draped around their neck like a choker as the other patrons picked spots on Willow's shoulders, tiny claws catching the material of the shirt as they relaxed with their guardian, tired out as well from practicing their skills. Willow dozed, rebuilding strength for the upcoming tea party with Diya.
