The most recent entry in Praxis' ceaseless quest to make herself useful!
The chest disguises itself as a cat bed for Salem! It rises like bread dough once the little button is pushed, but it only triggers for Kaylie and Salem and Praxis. Kaylie and Salem 'cause it's theirs and Praxis 'cause she made it and figured that she'd want to be able to access to fix things or in case of emergency. Not sure what emergency, but she likes to be prepared.
Once it's lifted up, the best way to manage it is to move the cat bed off of the top and then pull the door open. The back of the box is a replaceable hardwood panel for Salem to sharpen his claws on!
The hinged portion has three layers of lollipop trays with legs~ You can pull them out and set them on flat surfaces to reorganize and access the lollipops!
The bottom has 12 of the 8 compartment boxes (96 boxes total), each label-able! The 12 larger boxes can be fully pulled out for organization, and they can be put back into the base in any order.
The cat bed is monogrammed for Salem and the box is monogrammed for Kaylie!
In addition to that main storage chest/cat bed, Praxis made two smaller boxes for carrying around. The first is the size of a hardcover Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone or a decent sized cigar box. The second is small enough to fit inside a fist, with a hinged top: with a wide enough opening to dispense one candy at a time!
The last thing is a candy bag that is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, and closes with a drawstring.
All of these items have magically increased capacity to hold five or six times more than geometry dictates. When expanded out into the box, there are handles on the sides for carrying around.
The boxes are crafted primarily of steel and silver, though the cat bed is made of suede filled with memory foam and the drawstring bag is stained leather with a silk drawstring.
