Xenoveus Character Sheet

Xenoveus' shift to nobody left her rather whimsical, with an astounding level of patience and the ability to stare at nothing for absolute days, though both are definitely in tune with her close affinity with coral.

Element Use: Xen can control the action of coral polyps, meaning that she can change how coral grows. Though she prefers using her element to influence her various polyp-y "pets" into growing into interesting shapes, in combat situations she fights with a weapon made of coral in the style of coral, specifically with a ridiculously strong defense containing unpleasant surprises for any who get too close.

To this end, her weapon is the NEPHILIM shield, comprised of hexagonal segments made up of many thin layers of coral held together by living polyps (which have been specially bred to survive in the open air for extended periods of times). Through her elemental control of them, Xen can expand the basic hexagonal shield into a latticed protection for herself (the largest structure she has ever made from it was almost a complete sphere that she could stand in comfortably).

Also, when separated, each of the segments has razor-sharp edges and, of course, every polyp has the stinging nematocyst cells associated with any self-respecting cnidarian (corals, anemones, jellyfish, etc.). Depending on the number of stings a target receives, these nematocysts can cause anything from a mild pain to full on nerve-damage and paralysis.

Personality: Like her element, Xen is happiest in a cool, moist environment and excessive heat and dryness make her moody and angrified to the extreme. For the most part, she is a mellow, easygoing girl with a hatred for excessive amounts of clothing (ie. a great dislike of pants, shoes, and just generally any sort of attire on her lower half. She is a mermaid after all) and walking around. Though she tends to be rather sedentary to the point of being nearly comatose, sneaking up on her or surprising her is ill-advised. Even her affinity with coral isn't enough to fully suppress her sharkier half and unexpected glompers would probably find themselves bitten by very sharp teeth with the possibility for a full fit of frenzy if she gets a taste of blood (she goes rather berserk and bitey crazy for a few minutes).
