DR: Always Harping On

Halloween time! For Praxis, costumes mean construction, and construction generally leads to her going rampantly overboard. What began as a Daedalus functional wing experiment spiraled out of control into a full-scale harpy costume complete with functional wings, tridactyly jumping stilts, ending with razor sharp claws, and toes powerful enough to crush stone! In going overboard with the legs, however, she made the overall costume too heavy for more than short gliding, though the amplified jumping capacity still makes for a fast-moving Praxis-harpy. In addition to being a rather massive project just for building, Praxis used it for practice as well, imbuing the joints and feathers and claws with the ability to learn and respond to voice commands and subtle cues like tensed muscles and toe and finger motions to provide the most responsive avian monster costume she could create. The goggles are for eye protection during said fast motion as well as for a nod to the steampunk elements so prevalent in the Hephaestus cabin and forge.
